Yacht charter in Spain

More than 300 sunny days annually, rocky terrain with numerous bays and tender sea are just a couple of reasons why you need to rent a yacht in Spain and go sailing the upcoming season. The latter lasts a little longer than in the rest of Europe — from April to October. The region offers a well-developed marine infrastructure: there are about 330 of marinas on the mainland and on the islands. Speaking about the settling in marinas, it varies from 30 to 70 euros, the only exception is Ibiza, where prices are higher. The major yachting spots here are Ibiza and Mallorca, Costa Brava and Costa Dorada, the Atlantic and Northern coast of Spain, and, goes without saying, the Canary Islands.

Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, and Formentera are the favorite spots of many sailors. The majority of cruises start from Palma de Mallorca. You might get a charter in this region for more than 2 weeks: here you will discover many historical castles, cute lighthouses, and many teeny-tiny fishing villages. One cannot avoid mentioning Ibiza as the party capital of the world, so if you want to combine yachting in Spain and hanging out in the best night clubs — this place is meant to be your next travel destination. Costa Brava and Costa Dorada include Valencia, Denia, Alicante, Malaga, Giblartar and other cities.

Each of the above mentioned deserves some piece of attention, say, there is a beautiful fortress of Santa Barbara in Alicante, the one could be observed right from the yacht. If you’re eager to get from the mainland to the island, then go to Denia — a picturesque town between Valencia and Alicante. Right at the base of Montgo Mountain, there is a very nice natural park — the major attraction of Denia.

The Canary Islands is surely one of these places that are always in the public eye (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote), well, many sailors adore this region because of the mild climate and fair prices. The season lasts here from November to April.
